About

This zine explores the progression of Link and Mipha’s relationship—from their early bond as friends, to falling in love, and finally, their life as devoted partners.
The zine will be divided into three sections, each focusing on a different stage of their love story for our contributors to interpret and make their own!

  • Friendship – Their early connection and growing bond

  • Lovers – The blossoming of their romantic relationship

  • Marriage – Their life together as lifelong partners

This project will be for charity and all proceeds will be donated to The Ocean Foundation!

Hi, I'm Lili! I've been in the LOZ fandom since BOTW first released in 2017. I was immediately enamored with Mipha and I love exploring their love story through my art~

  • Organized a Sailor Moon-themed pop up in my city, hosted various stamp rallys, and produce all of my merchandise for my online shop

I write for a living. I fell into Miphlink in 2022; it’s my first and only ship. It’s inspired me to write almost half a million words, and to write stories of romance and love and kindness.

  • I’ve written lots of Miphlink stories, including The Widower, One Last Night, and Fall in Love.

  • I helped with Miphlink Week 2022. Otherwise this is my first time modding in the fandom.

I fell in love with Miphlink in 2021 soon after acquiring a switch. I've been eagerly enjoying the art and writing community ever since (though it took me a bit to find!), and dabble in drawing when I can. I love to write about these two.

A fanzine is a fanmade collection of works published in book format, or sold digitally.What is the theme of this zine?
To explore all the different aspects and progression of Link and Mipha’s relationship.What is the rating of this zine?
All content in the zine will be have a teen rating.Is this zine for-profit or for charity?
All profits made from zine sales will be donated to charity.Do you have to be 18+ to apply?
No, but you must be at least 15 years of age.Will moderators participate in the zine?
All mods will be given the option to participate if they would like to!Will contributors be given a free copy of the zine?
All contributors will get a digital copy of the zine. Contributors will also have the option to purchase physical copies and/or bundles at a discounted rate.Will other ships involving MiphLink be allowed? (Example: Link/Mipha/Zelda?)
No, we would like the focus to be MiphLink only.Will merch artists need to produce the merch themselves?
No, the mods will handle production of the zine and all of the merch! Prior experience with merch production is not required in order to apply!Once the zine finishes, will I still have the rights to my work?
Yes, of course! However, we do ask that contributors not share or post their piece anywhere until the zine officially closes, and the mods have given permission to do so. This includes, but is not limited to: Patreon exclusives, streaming, and applying to other zines with your piece for the zine. There will be a time while preorders are active when we will ask contributors to share a preview of their piece. Outside of that, please refrain from posting the piece until after the zine officially closes.

Applications

Rules & Requirements

  • All applicants must be 15 years of age or older.

  • All zine content will be SFW and rated for Teens.

  • Artists - Please do not include NSFW or sensitive content in your samples/portfolio.

  • Writers - Please do not include NSFW or sensitive content in your samples. If you have such content in your portfolio please make sure it is tagged/labeled appropriately.

  • Ensure that you have sharing permissions turned on if using something like a Google Drive folder! If we cannot access your portfolio, your application will result in an automatic rejection.

  • For application purposes, works involving LOZ characters are encouraged but not required.

  • Upon acceptance, all contributors will be randomly assigned into a section of the zine. You will be required to submit at least 2 pitches of what you would like to portray in the zine. The more detail the better!

  • You may apply to more than one role, however you will only be accepted for one of the roles you apply to.

  • Discord account will be required

Artists

  • Cover Artist will create the cover for the zine.

  • Page Artists will create one single page illustrations or a 2-page spread.

  • Comic Artists will create a 2-4 page comic.

  • Merch Artists will create 2 pieces of merch. The types of merch will be assigned following acceptance.

  • All artists will also be given the choice of creating potential spot art for the zine.

Writers

Writers will create a 2,500 word story themed around the phase of MiphLink's relationship you are assigned to.

Welcome contributors to Courage & Grace Zine! We are so excited to have you on board and can't wait to see all of your wonderful works! Now for some housekeeping, please read through the following rules. You will be expected adhere to these

1. Respectful Conduct
Please treat all moderators and fellow contributors with respect and kindness. Harassment, discrimination, or toxic behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.2. Communication is Key
You are expected to acknowledge and respond to all mod communications in a timely manner, even if it's just a quick “Got it!” or emoji reaction. This helps keep the project running smoothly and ensures no one is left in the dark.3. Adhere to Deadlines
Please submit your work by the deadlines outlined in the schedule.That said, we understand that life happens! Extensions can be requested if needed. Again, the key is to communicate! Ghosting past deadlines without notice may result in removal from the zine.4. Original Work Only
All submissions must be created specifically for this zine and must be your own original work. Do not submit previously existing pieces.5. Do not share Previews Publically
Unless otherwise agreed upon, please refrain from sharing previews/wips of your zine piece publicly before the final release. Sneak peeks will be allowed at a particular time. The mods will specify what’s okay to share and when.However, feel free to share previews/wips within the Contributor Discord Server any time!6. Stay on Theme & Within Specs
All work should follow the zine’s theme, rating, and format guidelines. Mods will provide specific instructions on file size, dimensions, bleed, and content boundaries.7. Be Open to Edits
Mod feedback may include light editing suggestions for layout or consistency. We aim to respect every creator's vision, but small adjustments may be needed for polish or cohesion.8. Ask for Help if You Need It
Please do not hesitate to ask questions or for help! The mod team is here to support you!9. No AI-Generated Work
All visual and written contributions must be 100% human-created. AI-generated or AI-assisted work is not permitted.10. Keep the Focus on MiphLink
To maintain a welcoming and comfortable space for everyone involved, we kindly ask contributors to avoid discussing or promoting other ships within zine spaces (Discord, email threads, etc.). This helps us keep the focus on MiphLink and ensures that our shared space remains aligned with the spirit of the project. Thanks for understanding!11. Social Media Engagement
To help boost the zine’s visibility and reach, all contributors are required to engage with the official zine account on any platforms they are active on.
